1, 2, THREE!!!!!!!

April 26, 2007 was one of the happiest days of my life. Isla Shea Halman was born! Yesterday we celebrated my baby girl's 3rd Birthday. What a wonderfully fun day it was. She woke up to a blueberry and chocolate chip pancake breakfast and then it was off to preschool. John and I went up to her school at 11 with a platter full of chick fil a nuggets, dorittos, strawberries and bananas, capri suns, and of course cupcakes. She had a great time celebrating her birthday with her closest friends and Adam, a classmate who also shares the same birthday. After nap we spent the remainder of the afternoon outside playing with all her birthday goodies which included a brand new princess bicycle. Isla already rides it like a pro! Of course a 3 year olds birthday wouldn't be complete without a little fingerpainting (and footpainting) action. It's hard to believe she came into this world 3 years ago. It feels like yesterday. I cannot even begin to describe all the joy, love, laughter, and goodness that she brings to our life. She is such a blessing to our family and she's only been here for 3 years. What an amazing life we are going to have with little Isla by our sides.

Here are my favorite things about Isla at 3 years old:
*The way she runs down the hall in the morning to our room ready to start the day with her hair in her face and the just woke up look in her eyes
*Her passion for doing anything crafty
*The way she shows concern for anyone who looks like they are in trouble
*Her intelligence (it blows me away all that she knows how to do at her age)
*The beautiful blonde hair on top of her head and the sparkling blue eyes that you could stare in forever.
*The way she raises her eyebrows up and down when she is really excited about something
*The fact that she still likes me to rock her to sleep at nap time
*The fact taht she can watch Mary Poppins over and over and over again and never get sick of it
*Her precious smile and squeals of excitement
*How she says "I love you Mommy or I love you Daddy or I love you Leo" out of the blue at times when you don't even expect it
*Her passion for books

The list could go on and on there is just sooooo much to love about this little girl
