8 Month Inch Worm

Leo turned 8 months old on Tuesday and 2 days later started crawling. He beat his sister by one day. I think he overheard the family talking about how he had till Friday to crawl if he wanted to beat Isla at it. He woke up on Thursday and showed us who was boss. Such a little brother thing to do. :) 8 month old Leo is such a joy. He continues to be a happy, little, snuggle bug. Seeing him crawl is the cutest thing too; he inches his way across the room little by little. Our little inch worm is growing so fast.
I caught Leo on camera right after he started taking his first crawls. Isla thinks that because Leo is crawling he can now color with her. Ah, the reasoning of a 3 year old.

Jump right in

The water's fine! We spent our weekend at the pool and had a blast! The slide is Isla's new favorite activity at the Club. She goes down, hands up in the air, with a big splash and can even swim out of the heavy current as long as we are there to "protect" her if she can't. We also played ring a round the rosie, deep sea diving, and scissor legs. Leo absolutely loves the water too. He splashed around the shallow end and snuck in a few mouth fulls of water. The weekend wouldn't be complete without a Sunday afternoon trip to Publix. They LOVE driving the car together. :)

All that splashing wore him out!

He is soooo close to crawling. Isla crawled 3 days after her 8 month birthday so he has until Friday if he wants to beat her at it. :)

It was time for a new blow up pool so we bought one from Target and set it up in the yard on Friday. It was still a little chilly to stay in that long but for 5 minutes it was fun.

And then we ate apple jacks and blew bubbles with finger wands

We decided to take a afternoon walk while Isla rode her bike. We didn't get very far b/c as soon as we passed Nina and Kiley's house the girls just wanted to play together.

Can't wait for more splashing to come...

Batter Up!

We are getting her started early. Next spring Isla will be able to join a teeball team at Wingate. We've got a year to practice. :)

Here is Isla playing softball for the first time. Looks like she's going to be a ball player. :) Or maybe a soccer player since she decides to just kick the ball at the end.

Test

Wanted to see if I solved the picture problem.
Here's Leo taken by Uncle B.
And where do you put a cracker when you've eaten all the pnut butter off? In the drain of course b/c it looks like a coin slot. :) Isla cracks me up.
More of sweet Leo

Lazy Days

It feels like summer already and we are just soaking up the sun. Leo loves to sit outside under our tree and pick grass and stare all around taking in everything. He is the sweetest little thing!
Isla dressed up in her robe that Uncle B bought her in China town for Sunday night dinner. We couldn't leave though without picking a flower for Gigi and taking a spin in the driveway on her tricycle. Saturday afternoon we played in the front yard. Leo loved rolling around on the splash mat and Isla loved being launched down her Dora slip and slide by Daddy. We heard the Ice Cream Man from a mile away and anxiously waited for him to turn down our street. Isla got to pick out whatever she wanted and went with the ever popular Chocolate chip ice cream sandwhich...YUM! And our post wouldn't be complete without some pictures of our favorite weekday afternoon activity, the park. Have a great week! (Oh, and I don't know why my pictures are posting weird lately...have to figure that out)
