Leo’s 4th Birthday!

Our little Buddy turned 4 September 25th!  Thank you, God, for Leo!  He’s a boy who loves pirates, playing in the playroom with Mommy and Daddy, playing with big sister, playing with his 2 brothers, going to school, Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Coach and Gigi’s, eating pickles, chicken nuggets, cereal, and drinking juice.  He is an introvert with the sweetest soul there is.  His favorite book for me to read to him is “Wherever you are my love will follow.”  He doesn’t know how much this book means to me.  The first line of the story says, “I wanted you more than you ever will know, so I sent love to follow wherever you go.” We couldn’t wait to give Isla a sibling but we had to wait longer than we had hoped and had to endure what no mom ever wants to before that dream came true.  The day Leo was born, I have never wanted to hold a baby so bad in my life.  Leo was and is such a blessing and we wish him the happiest birthday ever!

His love of pirates set the stage for his party theme.  We had it at our splash park on the one day it decided to rain ALL DAY LONG.  That didn’t stop his family and friends from coming out to celebrate though.  To quote Leo, “Mom, pirates sail in storms all the time.”  Very true!

He woke up on his real birthday letting everyone know he was 4 years old today.  Sully greeted him along with his present from Mommy and Daddy.  He has been wanting a Polar Express Lionel Train for as long as I can remember and today his dream came true.

I let him skip school since it is only preschool and we had a day of fun out and about.  We went to Target because he wanted to look at all the spooky Halloween decorations, (he picked out a scary skeleton who jumps out at you when you make noise), we went to chic-fil-a for lunch where he and Palmer had a blast in the play area, we played in our front yard until Isla came home from school, then we got dressed for his special birthday dinner out at his favorite restaurant, Taco Lu!  Coach and Gigi, Brannon, Heather, and Ava all met us there.  After a dinner of queso and chips, Leo blew out a candle on a mini chocolate cupcake and opened a few more presents.  It was such a fun day for a super awesome boy!
