One Magical Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas it was! I've never seen a child as excited as Isla was Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Isla made sure Santa and his reindeer wouldn't go hungry by making cookies and reindeer food Christmas Eve. She stayed awake until 9:30 Christmas Eve having so much fun making pizza at the Flynn's and then singing Christmas carols at The Ponte Vedra Club. We read the Night Before Christmas and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas before bed and her eyes were already shut by the time I read the last line. We had to wake her up Christmas morning to come see what Santa brought her since she was exhausted from the night before. But OH BOY did her eyes light up when she saw all her toys. It was amazing to see and so much fun to be reliving that Christmas morning excitement all over again through her. Leo's first Christmas was mainly spent eating and sleeping but Isla made sure to open all of his presents for him. After our morning we packed up and went to Coach and Gigi's for brunch and more presents. We then spent the afternoon cooking and playing with all the fun toys the kids got. The annual Christmas open house was a hit again. John's gumbo was to die for and we had such a great time with the friends and family who stopped by. It was really a magical Christmas and I can't wait till next year when Isla and Leo will be even more excited then this year.

Isla's Christmas Program

So singing two year olds are the cutest things in the world! Isla's preschool held its Christmas program last week. Isla's class sang Jingle Bells and Ring, Ring, Ring the Bells. Isla did great during Jingle Bells but didn't expect the loud applause that followed. Needless to say, it scared her a lot so she cried for the rest of the program. She was still the cutest one standing up there. :) And little brother, Leo enjoyed watching his big sister sing for him.

First Days of Christmas

We've had a wonderful start to the Christmas season. Last weekend we made hot chocolate for Isla for the first time and she loved it. We snuggled on the couch and drank it while watching The Polar Express, which she is now obsessed with! Sunday night dinner at Coach and Gigi's we celebrated Uncle B's 35th birthday. Isla helped Brannon open all of his presents and blow out his candles. Little Leo is getting on a schedule now and it makes life so much easier for me. He wakes up to eat at 7am (although lateley he's been waking up at 4:30am and staying a wake for an hour), then he takes a mini morning nap then a nap at 10:30 and another nap at 1:30 and a mini nap in the early evening. He is down for the night by 7pm. His squeals and smiles are to die for and he's getting alot better at tummy time. This holiday season is already so great and I can't wait for the days ahead...

Holiday Photo Shoot

These are some pictures from our photo shoot at Sears on Friday.
I love my beautiful family!

Happy Thanksgiving!

2009 was a year of blessings!!! We have so many things to be thankful for this year. Our smart and beautiful daughter, Isla, our precious newborn son, Leo, our wonderful marriage, the love of our parents and of course our health. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! We woke up Thursday morning and snuggled on the couch with a fire and the Macy's Day parade. John ran the Outback Turkey Trot (1/2 marathon) and did great! I ran my own little turkey trot of a whole mile. :) (I gotta ease back in to things) We then celebrated at Coach and Gigi's with delicious food and fun times. Leo even began "talking" to us on Thanksgiving. It's the sweetest sound in the whole wide world. The next day we went to good ol' Coach's Tree Lot and got a beautiful tree which we trimmed with lights and ornaments Saturday morning. Isla loved going through all of the decorations and even helped hang ornaments on the tree. Leo slept through most of it. :) Oh, and let's not forget Tim Tebow's last game in the Swamp. And let me tell you, it was a good one. Sorry Noles, better luck next year. (Coach and Uncle B that was for you)Sunday night we went to Palms for the annual Crismon dinner and tree lighting. It was such a special weekend and we know how blessed we are. Thank you God for all you have given to our family!

Happy 2 month birthday, Leo.
