Easter, new home planning, 3 birthdays, and more. It’s been a fun month but phew, I’m worn out! April is that month in the year where I’m excited for everything it holds. It’s non-stop action! However, once May 1st hits, I always get a bit depressed. Weeks of party planning come to an end, another holiday is over, and my babies are another year older. It’s all just very bittersweet. Here’s how the Halman’s spent April 2012:
We bought a lot in Nocatee and our home will be completed in November, assuming all goes smoothly! We’ve had many meetings already and it’s so exciting to “see” our new house coming together.
We attended Nocatee’s Easter egg hunt while we were busy putting an offer on our home. Leo and Isla filled their baskets while Palmer sat and enjoyed the view. Mrs. Easter Bunny was very sweet and they even had a bouncy house for the kids to play on.
Back at home it was time to dye the eggs. This was always my favorite Easter memory and I think they like it too.
Palmer watched from his high chair while nibbling on some Easter marshmallows. We gave him one hard boiled egg to play with but it only lived for a second before being launched and smashed on the driveway.
They did a pretty darn good job on those eggs…
Easter morning came and we did the traditional family photo shoot before heading off to church. I can’t believe all three were happy and actually didn’t mind taking pictures. It was another Easter miracle.
After church, we played in the yard, had a picnic lunch, then took naps. We had to rest up for the egg hunt at Coach and Gigi’s house. They each got to hunt for 10 eggs including a golden egg which included a prize with it. Leo had a blast, Isla was the first to find the golden egg, and Palmer played with just one egg the whole time. Hey, it’s his first Easter, he’ll the hang of it eventually. Another wonderful Easter in the books.
Isla’s “Barbie” dance recital is in June but they are already gearing up for it. This year she does a tap number to Barbie loves Ken and a ballet number to Fairytopia Barbie. She says they dance to Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” I can’t wait!
Speaking of baby, my babe turned 31 April 21st. He had to share his birthday with Isla because she had her party that afternoon. He didn’t mind though especially since he got to sleep in and he woke up to sausage gravy and biscuits and 3 of the best gifts ever! And that evening we went on a date night to Bonefish to continue his celebration. Happy Birthday, John!
My angel girl, Isla, turned 5! She had a “Wish” themed birthday party at our house complete with Mr. Barry the magician. It was the best birthday yet. More on that later when I get all the pictures back.
I cannot believe my baby boy, Palmer, turned One!! Words can’t express what this boy does to my soul. Pictures to come…
May has a tough act to follow…
