Tomorrow is February 1st and I’m just now getting around to writing about our Christmas. The past 3 months are a complete blur…thank goodness for pictures to retell the story. In a nutshell life is crazy, days go by so fast, there’s not enough time for all that I want to do in a day. Time is spent decorating the house, cleaning buckets of laundry, playing with babies, sitting in carlines at school, afternoon play in the new hood, nursing a newborn, and nighttime routines. It’s crazy, but completely awesome. There is absolutely nothing I’d rather have than my crazy day-to-day life. With that said, let’s see what happened at Christmas…
Kindergarten Christmas Parties
Afternoon photo sessions with my loves
Completely love this picture. It captures each one of their personalities perfectly!
Tree decorating with the house only half unpacked
Christmas Eve was celebrated with homemade pizza and the whole family gathering in our new kitchen. We then went to Ponte Vedra for caroling and telling Santa our wishlists. It’s my favorite part of Christmas. This was Hart’s first Christmas and a dream come true for me. I had always dreamed of rocking a newborn to sleep while listening to Christmas carols in front of a lighted tree with a fire in the background. Bucket list check!
My favorite picture of the day…coming downstairs to see what Santa left.
The rest of the day was spent at Coach and Gigi’s house for more present unwrapping, then everyone came back to our house for a yummy dinner.
We had a baby, moved the next week, and had Christmas 3 weeks later. Let’s just say I’m ready for a calm new year and ready to start making this house a home with our precious family. I think back to last year’s New Year’s post where I said, “ I’m really looking forward to the new year. I love starting fresh and get all excited when I think about what could be in store for our family in 2012.” Little did I know what the year had in mind for us. Wow, What a year it was! 2013 for me will be a year of enjoying everything we have been given. It’s time to sit back and enjoy the ride! Happy New Year everyone!
