Last night after the 100th shower this week passed through, a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. It was Isla's first time seeing one and through her eyes it was my first time all over again. There were acutally two in the sky but the second one was too light to show up in the photos. It was such a pretty evening and Daddy even came driving home from work while we were outside enjoying the beautiful scene.

Memorial Day Weekend
We had such a great holiday weekend. Although the weather wasn't the best, we still managed to have a lot of fun together. John ran in the Beaches Chapel 5K and WON!!!! :) Isla and I were standing at the finish line when we saw the motorcycle turn on its lights to make way for the winner. When I squinted hard and looked way down the road I saw it was John. We are so proud of him! Isla also got to participate in her first ever race....a 50 yard dash. She had so much fun and smiled the whole time she ran. Of course Mommy had to hold her hand during the race, but it was wonderful.
On Monday we had a Memorial Day cookout at our house. Coach, Gigi and Uncle B all came over to have hotdogs and hamburgers. We even busted out the ol' Snoopy Snow Cone Machine for Isla. Wow, that thing really is the worst invention ever! It takes like 5 minutes to crank down one piece of ice. Isla sure did love it though. :)
Here comes the winner!

The Big 20 Week Ultrasound
We got to see our little pumpkin again this week. We went in for my 20 week ultrasound and saw our little baby squirming all around. The baby is quite flexible too. At one point the little foot was next to the baby's head. Pumpkin was soooo precious to see and has gotten so big since last time. Our baby is 14 oz. and is measuring in a week ahead at 21 weeks and 2 days. So the baby is either coming earlier or is just very healthy. :) John held Isla while the ultrasound was being performed and she got to see her little baby sister/brother on the screen. The ultrasound tech. told us she knows what we are having but we held our ground and said we wanted to keep it a surprise. Regardless of whether it is a boy or a girl we are in love all over again and can't wait to meet our angel.

"Goldie" Fish
We took Isla to the Pet Store today to pick out her first pet. Although she LOVED the mice, we had to say no to that. She also loved the little dog, Chloe, who was up for adoption but we are afraid Ellie Cat might frighten a doggie away from our home. She ended up picking out a Beta fish and naming him "Goldie." :) Of course she named him that b/c her favorite cartoon character, Franklin, named his Goldfish that. But hey, what's in a name?
Here she is laughing at the mouse in the wheel
Can I have a mouse, pleeeeeeaaaaseeee?????
Isla playing in the cage with Chloe
And here is the newest member of our family, Goldie!
I love my fishie!

Happy Mother's Day!
What a wonderful day it was! John and Isla made me breakfast in bed and I got to lay there and eat peacefully while I drank my coffee and watched the Morning Show. Then we went to Church and watched the TPC for the rest of the day. We went to dinner at Coach and Gigi's and it was just so relaxing. I'm lucky to have the best mom ever and to be a mommy to a beautiful little girl and a precious baby on the way! How did I get so lucky?
And here's my baby bump at 19 Weeks and 1 Day..

Fun at the St. Paul's Carnival
Who doesn't love cotton candy, snow cones, fun rides and dunking booths?

Or maybe it was this one....
This even scared mommy!
Uncle B dunking Andy Altee for the 3rd time!
This slide is awesome!
But this was by far the funniest moment ever! I'm still laughing about it.
Yes, those are Isla's legs sticking out of that boy's back. She ran right into him.
What a little Fish!
Isla has graduated from swim class! The Ponte Vedra Club is her favorite place to go now. She jumps right in the deep end and swims all over the place. She's amazing to watch! But I'm sure other people look at her and think "It's not that great that baby can swim." :) But we think she's a star! Watch her go!
Here's a video of her swimming in her summer clothes...

Happy 2nd Birthday, Isla!
Our little princess has turned 2! She's mastered swimming, potty training and a move to her new "big girl" room where she sleeps like an angel in her new twin bed! I was freaking out over potty training and trasitioning her to a bed but it was all for nothing. Change comes very easily to Isla. What a laid back little girl she is. We had so much fun over her birthday weekend. All of her friends came over for her 2nd Princess themed party and they played outside and ate cupcakes. We went to the beach, the opening of the beaches parade and Coach and Gigi's for another celebration. We cannot believe it's been 2 years since Isla came into our lives. She has blessed us beyond belief and we thank God each day for all the love and smiles she brings our way. We love you, Isla!
