I finally was able to say those words last Monday morning. Isla had been counting down the days and it was finally here. But before all the fun we had to carve pumpkins. "EWWWwwwww," is what Isla said when the first pumpkin head came off. She would not even touch the gooey mess and neither would Leo. Palmer didn’t even know what was going on but loved to watch from his walker.
Halloween morning was a treat. Little Palmer woke up knowing it was an exciting day since we kept saying, “It’s your FIRST Halloween!” Leo was excited to be getting loads of candy in a few hours and Isla couldn’t wait to be Rapunzel.
The witching hour finally approached and they couldn’t wait to get to Coach and Gigi’s neighborhood for the fun. Leo dressed up as Eeyore, Palmer was his sidekick, Winnie the Pooh, and Isla was Rapunzel. (I made Isla and Leo’s costumes and they looked adorable in them I must say)
(This picture cracks me up…It’s typical Eeyore.)
We pulled onto kings road around 6 pm and the sunset was amazing. I made the kids jump out onto the bridge to capture some photos….

Then it was time to Trick or Treat…
They loved every second of it. Aside from Mary’s house, which has frightened Isla since she was 2 years old, it was a blast. Leo wasn’t scared at all and ran up to every house, hauling his big blue pumpkin up, and saying “trick or treat.” Isla was still kind of reserved asking us “is this house scary?” I loved every bit of it and John and I soaked up the night and the memories that were created. We finally retreated back to Coach and Gigi’s for the best part of the evening, dumping the buckets and discovering the loot…
Happy Halloween, Ya’ll!
