Easter 2010 was wonderful! Sunday morning started off with Isla asking, "Did the Easter Bunny come last night?" So off we went to the living room to see if he came and what he filled the baskets with. Isla received an outfit, socks, glitter tatoos, a ribbon to dance with, a chocolate bunny, finger nail polish, princess markers, a snow white necklace and eggs filled with gummy bunnies. Leo got an outfit, a musical toy, a Peter Cottontail book and some winnie the pooh socks. Then it was time to play with everything like it was Christmas morning.
After all the goodies were riffled through, we got dressed in our Easter best. Isla and Leo had matching blue and white outfits and they looked adorable. Too bad trying to take a good picture of them together was the hardest thing I've ever done, aside from giving birth to them both.
This picture is my favorite, because it captures exactly what it was like trying to take their pictures. Isla had WAY too much sugar in her body and trying to get a hyper, 2 1/2 year old to hold her 19 pound brother on a tiny chair was just IMPOSSIBLE!
And then it was time for the egg hunt... John and I hid the 8 eggs we had dyed the day before. And to me, 8 eggs is plenty for a 2 1/2 year old to hunt. But once our neighbor walked out carrying her 36 dyed Easter eggs, I felt a little bad. Especially since her son is only 20 months old. I told Isla next year we'd dye ALOT. She still had a blast finding her brightly colored, marbelized eggs.
