Roly Poly

Leo gave me a wondeful birthday present...he rolled over for me 3 times on Monday.

Check him out.... :)

(excuse the few seconds of blackness, Isla accidentally knocked the camera over)

30 and Thrilling!

So I guess I'm officially old to all teenagers in America now. :) But in my 30 years I think I have accomplished a lot and all of my dreams I had as a child/teen have come true. I graduated from the University of Florida, I got married to the greatest man a woman could ask for, we bought a house in Jacksonville Beach and I had 2 beautiful babies. What more could I want or need?
My 30th Birthday was fabulous! It seems like I had 4 days of celebrating too. On Saturday my mom gave me two spa treatments at the Ponte Vedra Spa. I had an aromatherapy massage and a facial. It was heaven!!! Then it was time to party. Dinner was delicious at Eleven South. John, Me, my mom and dad, Brannon, Heather and my friends Dan and Beth were there. It was a fun time with family and good friends. I sipped on two dirty-thirty martinis and was ready to go dance at the Ritz. Alicia and Hunter, Crystin, Lynn and Kristi all met us there. I had one shot and by 12:30 I was ready to crawl into bed. :) (That's how you know you're thirty) Sunday was a little bit rough needless to say but I had such a great time! Sunday night we went over to Coach and Gigi's for dinner and I got to blow out candles on a delicious carrot cake from Cinotti's. On Monday Leo decided to give me an early birthday present by rolling over for the first time from tummy to back and he did it 3 times in a row. :) I was so happy! Then on my real birthday, Tuesday, my mom took a half day from school and we met my Dad, John and Brannon for lunch at J. Alexanders and then went shopping at the Town Center. Tuesday night John and I went up to Bonefish and sat at the bar and had wine and appetizers. Wow, I am worn out from all the festivies but I had an amazing 30th Birthday. I can't wait to see what my 31st year has in store for me!

Making a wish ...

But they've already come true

Day of Parties

Friday, February 12th was a day of parties. First Isla's preschool class had their Valentines Day Lunch Party. This was Isla's first experience receiving cute Valentines from her friends. She was extremely excited when each classmate came around and filled her bag with goodies. Then they ate heart shaped grilled cheese, tater tots, and fruit. I love seeing her so excited about the simple pleasures in life. She's my little Valentine angel.
Friday night we all went up to Culhanes to celebrate Gigi's birthday. Isla loved the Irish band and was doing a jig in the booth. Then Coach, Gigi and B.B. came over to our house for some red velvet cake and cocktails afterwards. It was such a great day.

Messing Around

We've just been messing around lately...Isla is doing great in school and loves making crafts each afternoon with me when she gets home. We paint, color, glue, glitter, sticker and more and she loves every second of it. She painted a picture for each of her 10 classmates for Valentines Day. Her party is on Friday and she can't wait! Little Leo has been teething (although I can't see any teeth yet) and has been drooling, very fussy and pulling at his ears a lot lately. He was up every 2 hours the other night so we decided to pack up the pack in play and move him into his nursery. He slept in his crib for the first time last night and only woke up once to eat and slept in till 6:30. I think he likes it. He's getting really good at grabbing at things now and is doing really good at tummy time too. He is giggling out loud and it's the sweetest sound.

First Food

We had Leo's 4 Month well check appt. on Friday and the results are in...he weighs 17lbs! My little big boy is in the 90th percentile in weight and the 50th percentile in height. He was so brave when it came to the shots and only cried for a minute afterwards. The Dr. said not to be concerned that he's not rolling over now...he said to give it until 6 months. He said the reason could be because he has a buddah belly. :) He also said second children tend to be lazier since their older sibling does everything for them. We were given the green light for first foods so we tried rice cereal out on Friday night. Leo wasn't too sure about it the first time but last night he chowed down. It still didn't make him sleep through the night though...Oh well. Isla was such a big helper when it came time to feed him. She only shoved the spoon down his throat a couple of times. :) Here's some pictures of Leo's first food...

I think he's gagging on the spoon in this one.

What is this stuff?
All full and happy
