September Fun

We've had a wonderful month of September so far. Isla is doing Fantastic at Preschool. She even took a nap there yesterday and slept for an hour and a half on the mat. I never thought that would happen. She's learning so much and comes home saying something new each day. She even showed me the "front, back and spine" of her book. So smart! We've continued to enjoy pool days on the weekend and ate brunch last Sunday at Ponte Vedra to celebrate Grandparents Day. We are of course soooo excited for Football Season! The Gators are looking good and Tebow is looking Fantastic! ;) I also made Isla's Halloween costume...Cinderella. She's been wanting to be Cinderella all summer so her wish is my command. I made her a little tutu and she has a cinderella tiara and princess wand to go with it. She doesn't exactly look like Cinderella but she sure looks cute in the costume and she loves it. We have about 2 weeks left before our second angel arrives and we cannot wait to meet the lil pumpkin! I can't believe it's almost time!
Happy September everyone!

First Day of Preschool

My baby girl started preschool at Palms Presbyterian this past Monday. It was so hard on me walking away from her when I've spent the last 2 years being with her 24/7. She on the other hand had no problem. She gave me a kiss and hug and started playing with all of her classmates. There are 11 kids in her classroom (8 girls and 3 boys.) Ms. Sheree and Ms. Stacy are her teachers...who she loves! When I came to pick her up after the first day, she apparently had been crying on and off for an hour. The poor little princess had such a red and wet face from her tears and wouldn't let go of me. I was heartbroken. But by the time I put her in the car she was fine and wanted to "do that again sometime." Little does she know she'll be doing this alot more times. :) The rest of the week has been pretty good...she is fine in the mornings and cries a little when she's ready to go home. I can tell she is really enjoying herself b/c she talks about her teachers and activies often. I've been nesting like crazy and the entire house is clean. Who knows what I'll do with my free time next week. I guess I need to just relax b/c in 5 weeks I'll have my hands full with baby #2. Time to do it all over again. :) Here are some pictures of Isla's first day.

Last minute summer fun!

Before summer came to a close we wanted to enjoy some last minute activies together. We took Isla to Adventure Landing where she loved playing guitar hero and riding the Caterpillar coaster. We also all went down to the beach to cheer Daddy on in the Summer Beach fun. Out of 1000 runners John got 47th place overall and 9th in his age division. Go Daddy! One of our favorite morning treats is Bagel World. Isla loves her blueberry bagel with Strawberry cream cheese. And we'll end the summer fun with a video of Isla counting in Spanish...all thanks to her friend Dora. What a fabulous summer we had with little Isla Lou.

5 Fabulous Years!

John and I celebrated our 5th anniversary Friday night, the 14th. Coach and Gigi stayed at our house while we enjoyed an elegant evening at the Ponte Vedra Inn. We were greeted in our room by a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Then we dined at the Seahorse Grille for dinner. We at Red Snapper, crab, lobster bisque and key lime cheesecake while looking out over the ocean. We had such an amazing night! I'm such a lucky lady and thank God for all my blessings. I can't wait to celebrate 50 more years with my babe!

The Last Ultrasound

We saw our little baby again last Wednesday, the 12th. I cannot believe how much pumpkin has grown since the last time...then again it was 12 weeks ago. It took me awhile before I realized what I was looking at on screen this time. The whole face took up the frame whereas before you could see the whole body in the frame. Our little baby is getting quite big. In fact he/she is already 4 lbs. 12 oz. and is measuring a week and a half bigger than I really am. I've been to the hospital twice within 2 weeks due to preterm contractions but all is well. I'm not dilating so that's good. They just had to give me a shot to stop the contractions both times. We need the little pumpkin to cook for just a while longer. :)
